Scott Schoppert - Founder
Scott was a 1981 graduate of O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls.  Scott earned a BS in Business Administration from USD.  He also worked as a piano technician for many years, learning from his father, Bob Schoppert.  He was part owner of Bob's Piano Service, Inc.  In May of 2010, Scott and his wife, Cindy, purchased the Schmitt Music Piano Department and called it Schoppert's Piano Gallery.  Sadly, Scott passed away March 18th,2011 after a 3 year bout with Colon Cancer.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Cindy Schoppert - Owner/CEO/CFO
Cindy is a 1983 graduate of TF Riggs High in Pierre, SD.  She also earned a BS in Business Administration from USD in Vermillion, SD.  Cindy worked for a number of years in banking before staying home with their growing family and managing their rental properties. Cindy, and her late husband Scott have four boys; Matthew, John, Paul, & Christian.

Jay Tripp - Owner/General Manager/Sales
Jay is a 1993 graduate of Brandon Valley High School in Brandon, SD.  He started playing piano at the age of 9.  At the age of 18 he started playing professionally.  After attending SDSU in Brookings SD, he started in the piano industry.  He is approaching his 16th year in the business and when asked what keeps him motivated he states: "It's about building relationships and trust with your customers, along with offering a great selection of instruments for them to choose from.  Purchasing a piano should be fun, and we thrive on making your buying experience an enjoyable one."  Jay lives in Brandon,SD with his wife Amy(a 5th grade teacher in the Sioux Falls School District), and their five year old son, Braeden.  He enjoys composing, golfing, spending time with his family & friends, and playing in his church band.
